Mr. Shani Mahama
Mr. Shani Mahama has a wide understanding of international and community development processes. He holds an MA in Learning and Innovation Change as well as an MSC in Development and international relations and over 20 years of experience in international and community development from Northern Ghana's perspective. Shani is credited for his pioneering role in putting youth development on the regional and national development agenda in Ghana. Shani’s work spans through development sector, teaching at Danish folk high schools and universities in Ghana. He is a development professional, a professional teacher, and a community learning facilitator with extensive facilitation experience within the areas of civic action, and organizational and pedagogical development. He has had leadership roles within the NGO and educational sectors and currently works as an Industrial Liaison Director at the Tamale Technical University and freelance development/management consultant. Shani has succeeded in setting up functional NGOs in Northern Ghana and continues to provide technical support to these organizations.
